Team Enduring Freedom!
Team Enduring Freedom is a new Adventure Racing team made up of Special Forces, conventional Army, and civilian personnel in the Ft. Bragg, NC area. In just it's first year, Team Enduring Freedom has enjoyed some great success - we will be making our first trip to the United States Adventure Racing Association National Championships 3-4 November in Santa Barbara, CA. Of course, as any athlete will tell you who has taken on an adventure race of any kind, we have also had our share of set-backs (make sure you check out the photo section to see proof)!
The success of Team Enduring Freedom comes from the varied background of its members. The team features ultra-marathoners, Special Forces soldiers proficient in land navigation and long land movements, college athletes, and all around competitive people. Each of us have our strengths, and our weaknesses, but working together, both in training and in races, we are able to compliment and push each other to achieve the success we are all after.
Due to our professions, we are often called upon to deploy to serve our country - for this reason, we have built our team up to eight people, allowing us to always field a team for events.
